Lightspeed Ramps Up Asia Pacific Team

Online panel specialist Lightspeed Research has appointed Angus Macaskill as VP of Client Operations and Charlie Winn as Panel Operations Director based in the firm's Sydney office.

Macaskill joins with more than 20 years technical, sales, marketing and management experience gained as a Partner at venture capital firm MentorVest, as a Board Director for information publishing house Strategic Publishing Group and with his own consultancy. In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing the commercial team and will take a leading role in identifying new products and services.

Most recently Head of Projects and Operations For MR and mobile software development firm Gravity, Winn brings five years experience to his new position. He was previously Associate Director, Online Panels, Asia Pacific at The Nielsen Company and Senior Account Manager at Roy Morgan Research. At Lightspeed Research, Winn will oversee panel recruitment and retention, incentive management and associated technologies, while managing a multi-lingual team across the region's four local country panels.

Terry Wiley, Asia Pacific MD said that these two senior appointments will be crucial in helping the firm expand and extend the operation in the Asia Pacific region in 2008 and beyond.
