Statmon Software Keeps Watch on PPM

February 26 2008

In the US, Statmon Technologies - which develops monitoring software - has released 'ACCURATE', a system which interfaces with Nielsen's Portable People Meter (PPM) data rating system to ensure household TV viewer ratings are correctly credited to the relevant broadcasters.

The software, which was developed with guidance from the firm's network TV clients, monitors the PPM data process and tracks each market report via an embedded digital water mark.

Statmon's Co-founder and CEO Geoffrey Talbot said: 'Nielsen's endorsement of ACCURATE is being well received by our clients. It provides additional certainty that every PPM market is measured accurately.'

AXESS, Statmon Technologies' flagship product, is a network-based application that remotely manages and monitors devices and systems for every aspect of a broadcaster's network. Based in Bannockburn, Ilinois, the firm was founded in 2000 and is online at www.statmon.com.
