Asia Pacific Role for RI Australia Chair

Louise McCann, the Chair of Research International Australia, has been given an expanded role within the company's Asia Pacific (APAC) offices to oversee RI's commercial operating strategy for the region.

The firm says that McCann's appointment has been designed to bolster growth across its 13 APAC offices. She will initially review the company's structure, operating processes, profitability and other related business strategies. Her remit will also include examining how business costs can be decreased overall.

'Louise has proven leadership abilities and extensive experience in looking at new ways that organisations' operating strategies evolve,' said RI's APAC CEO Heather Payne. 'We believe her appointment to this role will help the company further strengthen its position in the Asia Pacific markets.'

McCann will retain her role of Chair of RI Australia, but will step down as the company's New Zealand Chair, to enable her to concentrate on her new responsibilities.

For the three years prior to taking up her current post, she was the firm's Australian and New Zealand CEO. Previously she was CEO of OzTAM, the provider of metropolitan audience data to Australia's media market - a position she held for four years after joining the company in 2000 as its General Manager.
