Essential Hires Media Research Specialist

In the UK, media, entertainment and communications research agency Essential has appointed Chris Hurry as Senior Research Manager in the firm's quant department. Hurry was previously Customer Insights Manager at GCap Radio.

He joined GCap in 2005, and focused on understanding consumer behaviour and trends in music, technology, media and radio. Prior to this, he oversaw brand, advertising and NPD research at Conquest Research; and spent five years at Research International, where he managed a number of consumer clients.

In his new role, Hurry will report to Head of Quantitative Research Alex Vishney, who joined the agency from BskyB last year (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6807.htm ). His remit will include developing new quant business and managing strategic projects for existing clients.
