Dexterity Broadens Focus, Appoints New CEO

In India, research and analytics firm Dexterity has announced a refocusing of its business on marketing and customer informatics, and appointed former Accenture USA Partner Anantha Krishnan as Chairman and CEO.

New Chairman and CEO, Anantha Krishnan (Krish)To its offering of market research outsourcing (MRO), the firm will now add marketing and customer data management, analytics and insight delivery.

Krishnan explained the firm's change in direction: 'The addressable market for marketing and customer informatics is growing rapidly and is about eight times larger than the current $4bn addressable market in the MRO space. With our rich expertise in research and analytics, we are all set to aggressively tap this enormous market.'

He joins with more than 20 years of international leadership experience. Prior to working at Accenture, he was the CEO of the Indian operations for IT and business process services provider CGI. He is an Alumnus of IIT Mumbai and Stern School of Business in New York.

Dexterity Co-founder Palanivel Kuppusamy said that his company had tripled revenues during the past three years and is now well placed to capture a 'significant portion' of the larger market. He and Co-founder Pravin Shekar will continue in new leadership roles, with Kuppusamy overseeing Strategy and Global Operations, while Shekar heads International Business Development and New Initiatives.

Under the new structure, the firm will primarily target retail, CPG (consumer packaged goods), MELT (media, entertainment, leisure and travel) and market research.

In 2006, Dexterity was singled out as one of the country's fastest growing tech firms in The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2006 Program (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6127.htm ).
