New International Leader for IRI

Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has appointed Nigel Howlett as President of IRI International. Previously Executive Vice President (global) and a Board Director at OgilvyOne Worldwide, he replaces and reports to Mark Parise who becomes President of IRI's global Market Information Group.

Nigel HowlettHowlett is charged with the continued aggressive expansion of the firm's content, solutions and technology businesses, and its international innovation practice.

At OgilvyOne he ran the Global Consulting Practice, whose size he more than tripled during the last four years, adding major international contracts with Nestle and Unilever. He also created a global consulting alliance with IBM and launched a global E-mail Marketing and Digital Dialogue Practice across three continents.

He began his career at GKN plc, earning a university scholarship in 1976 prior to graduating in 1980; and rose to Group Head of Marketing, GKN Vending Services, which he held from 1985 to 1987. He was then Client Services Director at The Computing Group until 1991 when he joined OgilvyOne Worldwide as MD of Ogilvy & Mather DataConsult. He became chairman and CEO of OgilvyOne U.K. in 1996 and took the Executive VP job in 2003. He earned a bachelor's degree with honors in business and marketing from UWE Bristol.
