MRP Launches New Qualbus Service

UK full-service agency Market Research Partners (MRP) has launched a monthly qualitative omnibus. The new Qualbus format allows clients to buy 30-minute sections on any of the firm's four different monthly focus groups.

Research Director Louise Walker explained: 'This service is ideal when you need to understand opinions, but don't need or can't justify the budget of a full research study.'

The four regular groups are:

  • Consumerbus 1 (18-35 year olds, BC1C2)
  • Consumerbus 2 (35-60 year olds, ABC1)
  • Mumbus (mums with young children)
  • Teenbus (16-18 year olds).
The groups are conducted in central Scotland during the last week of each month, and approximately 6-8 respondents are included in each group.

MRP will design the discussion guide, recruit respondents and moderate the focus group. After analysis, clients will receive a confidential summary report on their section.

Based in Edinburgh, MRP offers data collection, recruitment, analysis and consultancy. The firm was founded in 2005 and is part of the Amarach Group, one of the largest independent research groups in the Republic of Ireland.

Last month, German agency Colibri Research announced a new qual omnibus to be launched in June, enabling clients to ask questions in a focus group setting.
