Research Now Expects Profit Jump

April 30 2008

UK-based panels firm Research Now is anticipating total revenue for the six months ending 30 April 2008 to exceed £18.5m versus £9.9m last year - a leap of 85%. Operating profit is expected be £2.3m, up from just £300,000 a year ago.

The European online fieldwork provider is also expecting underlying revenues to be ahead by more than 45%.

'All our business units performed strongly in the first half and we are particularly pleased with our rate of organic growth and the ongoing improvement in operating margins,' said CEO Chris Havemann. 'Demand for high quality online fieldwork and panel services is buoyant in all our markets and we remain positive in our outlook for the full year.'

In January, Research Now ended the 2007 financial year with a 168% rise in revenue to £25.8m, and doubled its organic revenue to £19.2m.

The group said it will announce results for the first half of 2008 on 1 July.

Research Now operates the Valued Opinions family of online panels across 28 countries, from a network of offices in Europe, the US, Canada and Australia.
