Pearl & Dean Hires Research Head

May 14 2008
In London, cinema advertising firm Pearl & Dean has appointed Anna Cremin as Research Manager, responsible for coordinating research and analysis of consumer behaviour and attitudes towards cinema.

Anna CreminShe will also be undertaking work on the Cinema Advertising Association’s FAME (Film Audience Measurement & Evaluation) research into film viewing and cinema going behaviour, as well as on The Film Monitor survey, which supplements FAME by providing audience profile data for individual films on a quarterly basis.

Cremin joins from Carlton Screen Advertising where she worked as Account Manager, and before this, she held research roles for Express Newspapers and outdoor advertising firm JCDecaux. In her new position, she reports to Marketing and Design Manager Ian McNaught.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Kathryn Jacob said: ‘Anna has a real passion for cinema and her background in research makes her a great addition to the team. It’s an exciting time to be working in cinema advertising as brands take more opportunities to extend the experience offscreen. Anna will be instrumental in proving just how diverse cinema can be to agencies and clients.’

Cremin replaces Jackie McCarry, who has moved out of London to take up a position with energy supplier e-on.

Established in 1953, Pearl & Dean is dedicated to growing cinema advertising revenue, both on and off screen. Its consumer site features movie gossip, news, polls, and a listings service, as well as a DVD rental service and a shop where users can buy movie memorabilia and download ringtones, including the firm’s legendary ‘pa-pa pa-pah’ theme tune.
