DRNO Publisher Grows Again

May 22 2008

MrWeb, the world's busiest daily news and jobs service for market researchers, has expanded with the appointment of Chris Jensen as Marketing Executive. Initially, his focus will be on building the site's Asian and US job listings, and its UK and international audience.

Jensen's experience includes work for two specialist MR recruiters, RP Cushing and most recently Major Players. He has also worked on an IT Help Desk and in the financial sector.

'Chris is an all-rounder and will fit in well with our informal, hands-on approach' comments MD Nick Thomas - 'but he also has very valuable recruitment experience which he'll bring to bear on helping candidates, sourcing and coding job ads. There's enormous scope for the company to expand its audience around the world and add to its range of services, and we're hoping Chris will play a key part in that.'

Says Jensen: 'Taking the role was a no-brainer - it will enable me to utilise my recruitment knowledge to help grow our audience while giving me the opportunity to exploit my 'geeky' side. I look forward to working closely with the growing team.'

MrWeb, which celebrates its tenth birthday later this year, now has five full-time UK staff and continues to grow its audience by around 40% and its revenue by around 20% every year. The site recently posted its 50,000th job ad, and currently lists more than 3,000 vacancies, every one individually assessed and coded by MrWeb staff.

Jensen and Thomas are both based in the firm's new London Bridge office, as are Ian Paterson, Creative Director and Laurence Miranda, Content Manager. Mel Crowther, News Editor, is based in Edinburgh.
