WebTrends Upgrades Web 2.0 Tool

June 19 2008

Web analytics firm WebTrends has upgraded its analytics solution to reduce the time and effort needed to generate Web 2.0 and other business insight.

The firm says its WebTrends Analytics 8.5 enables marketers to quickly assess the results from their investments in online video, blogs, social networking and other interactive media, and then use this insight to increase visitor engagement and conversation.

'This is an ideal marriage of analytics power and convenience, making it simpler and less time consuming for businesses to gain marketing insight and realize value from their analytics investment,' commented CEO Dan Stickel.

Improvements enable marketers to:

  • Utilize dynamic reports that add standardized tracking and reporting, along with graphic views of results
  • Compare the results of online activities and web site performance by dragging and dropping metrics in to reports
  • Increase control and reduce administration with preconfigured user-access rules
  • Manage analytics in Asian languages including Japanese, Korean and traditional or simplified Chinese.

Last November, the firm partnered with e-mail service provider Silverpop to offer quantitative tracking for e-mail campaigns.
