Itracks Sues over Online Groups Patent

July 14 2008

Online research applications provider Itracks has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Artafact, LLC of Fremont, California, in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

The complaint, filed earlier this year, seeks unspecified damages and an injunction against future infringement by Artafact, who it claims infringed one of its patents with online group products Artafact Online Focus Group Software and Artafact Diary Bulletin Board.

The patent in question is U.S. Patent No. 6,256,663, entitled 'System and Method For Conducting Focus Groups Using Remotely Located Participants Over A Computer Network' and issued on July 3, 2001.

Itracks (Interactive Tracking Systems, Inc.) is online at www.itracks.com .
