CMI Appoints Analytics and Client Development Veterans

In the US, MR agency CMI has appointed former Market Probe Director Morris Wilburn to the newly created post of Marketing Sciences Director, and Bill Salokar, formerly of Harris Interactive, as VP of Business Development.

Wilburn joins CMI's Analytical Services Group with more than 22 years' experience in the use of analytical techniques. He most recently worked at Market Probe as Associate Research Director. Prior to this, he was a Senior Research Methodologist with Gallup, and a Senior Statistical Specialist with SDR Consulting. He began his marketing research career in 1985 as a tabulation spec-writer with Bardsley and Neidhart. Wilburn has a Masters in Sociology from the University of Chicago.

Christina Liao, who leads the Analytical Services Group, says his appointment 'significantly enhances our analytical capabilities and enables us to cultivate more client work opportunities with high-end analytics requirements.'

Salokar, whose MR career spans 20 years, is responsible for new client development as well as maintaining and growing existing accounts. He joins from Harris Interactive, where he was an Atlanta-based Senior Consultant and VP in the Customer Loyalty Division. He has also held research and new business development positions with the American Cancer Society, TNS NFO, Elrick & Lavidge, the Georgia Lottery Corporation and the Florida Lottery. Salokar has a Masters in Statistics from Florida State University.
