Harte Hanks Personnel and Licence for Information Arts

August 21 2008

In the UK, B2B specialist Information Arts has been given sole rights to sell DM company Harte-Hanks' Ci Technology Database (CiTDB). A number of Harte Hanks staff will join the firm, which is also introducing a new range of data and insight services for users of the database.

As part of the agreement, Information Arts has taken on the existing Harte Hanks UK sales team. Last year, both firms agreed to give Harte-Hanks the exclusive option to acquire Information Arts in October 2008. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The CiTDB contains profiles of more than 2.2 million IT decision makers, while also delivering insight data on the IT and telecoms sectors. Information Arts will be merging this data with proactively sourced information on technology usage.

The firm's CEO Simon Lawrence commented: 'This kind of specialist insight data will ultimately give technology marketers the intelligence edge. It is our aim to ensure that business to business marketers have the right data products in order to effectively execute marketing campaigns in the IT, telecoms and technology sectors.'

As well as integrating the CiTDB into its existing pan-European database warehouse, Lawrence's firm will use the data held within CiTDB to develop a series of analytical products and models for marketers targeting the SME sector.
