Multi-Channel Video Specialist Joins ABI Research

New-York based tech market research firm ABI Research has appointed Robert Clark as Principal Analyst, Multi-Channel Video.

Robert ClarkPrior to joining, Clark was a Senior Consulting Analyst with Stratecast, a division of Frost & Sullivan, where he was responsible for strategic forecasting and go-to-market consulting work with network equipment manufacturers, solution integrators and software vendors.

During a career spanning more than 20 years, he also worked for Nortel Networks, Fujitsu Networks, GTE Telephone Operations (now Verizon), and consulted for three of the largest US start-up telcos in the late 1990s. Clark was also an Industry Analyst for Dataquest (now Gartner) covering Public Networks infrastructure and services. He has an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado, a BS in Business-MIS from the University of Northern Colorado, and has completed MBA course work at the University of Dallas.

Clark's new focus will include research coverage on cable, telco (IPTV), satellite, digital terrestrial, and broadcast video.

Research director Mike Wolf comments: 'Robert's deep experience in the broadband and pay-TV infrastructure markets, both as an analyst and through hands-on integration roles, will be extremely valuable in expanding our strong offerings in multi-channel and pay-TV research.'
