Romance Publisher Launches Reader Panel

September 3 2008

In the US, women's fiction publisher Harlequin has launched a panel through which readers can influence the direction of future novels by voicing their opinions and sharing their book experiences directly with the publisher.

The new 'Tell Harlequin' panel has been designed to create an ongoing dialogue and relationship with readers. Participants will be able to make their voices heard on topics such as cover designs, ideas for serialized novels, new series concepts, and new promotion ideas.

Harlequin staff will then consider these suggestions along with their own plans, to develop future editorial direction.

To encourage participation, panellists will receive free novels and 'sneak peeks' at forthcoming books. In addition, through the www.TellHarlequin.com site, they will also be able participate in online surveys, and exchange opinions and ideas with other readers.

Harlequin produces women's fiction and romance titles which are issued worldwide in 29 languages and sold in 107 international markets. The firm has offices in 19 countries, including offices in Toronto, New York and London.
