Nielsen Names New Communications Chief

In the US, Nielsen has appointed Ed Dandridge as Senior VP and Chief Communications Officer, responsible for managing communications between Nielsen and its key audiences and stakeholders inside and outside the company.

Ed DandridgeFor the past eight years, Dandridge was a Partner at BrandSphere; a consulting firm he founded which advised corporate, non-profit and political clients, both in the US and internationally. Before this, he served as VP of Network Communications for ABC Television Network, and spent nearly eight years at political consulting firm, the Sawyer/Miller Group. He is a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

In his new role, Dandridge will also be responsible for overseeing the firm's external and internal communications functions worldwide, including corporate communications and media relations.

He will report to Chief Marketing Officer John Burbank, who comments: 'Ed is uniquely qualified to lead Nielsen's global communications operation from a position of strength and innovation, ensuring that we are well-positioned to support the company's key global growth initiatives.'

Dandridge replaces Karen Watson, who was recently named SVP-Government Public Sector Sales at Nielsen.
