Forrester Promotes Griesman to CMO

US technology research and consulting firm Forrester has named 25-year marketing and market research veteran Dwight Griesman as its new Chief Marketing Officer and as a member of its Executive Team.

Griesman joined Forrester more than three years ago to build the Forrester Leadership Boards (FLB) Marketing programs, a series of peer networking forums open to a select group of executives as a means of stimulating fresh thinking. Here, his role involved interacting with clients, contributing to research and program content delivery and facilitating panel discussions for the firm's events.

Prior to joining, Griesman was the MD of The Forbes Consulting Group's Quantitative Analytics division, providing custom research and consulting services. He was previously Director of Market Research at Hasbro and Welch Foods, and was the VP of Marketing and Sales for Lydstrom, a digital music startup. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from Bucknell University.

'Based on Dwight's experience as a senior marketing professional and his leadership in developing our Marketing FLBs, he is the right person to drive Forrester's brand and marketing initiatives,' explained Chairman and CEO George Colony. 'Dwight will lead the company's efforts to clearly communicate and demonstrate the value of Forrester's role-based offerings to IT, marketing, and technology industry leaders in the global marketplace.'

In MR terms, the firm will practice what it preaches: Griesman says he is committed to ensuring that customer opinion will continue to be central to how Forrester enhances its products and services.

Forrester was founded more than 25 years ago to offer proprietary research, consumer insight, consulting, events, and peer-to-peer executive programs. The firm recently acquired rival JupiterResearch and its parent company JUPR Holdings for $23m in cash.
