Rapid Growth for Professional Services Specialist

UK-based professional services research specialist Acritas has announced rapid expansion, with fourteen appointments taking its total staff to more than forty.

Acritas, which was established in 2002 by Lisa Hart, now has offices in London, Newcastle and New York. Experienced new arrivals include Product Manager Emma Dalloliol; Account Manager Rachel Holdsworth; Data Management Executive Andrew Hodgson; and Business Development Manager Jo Styles, plus a number of full time research interviewers and team leaders. In addition, the company has in 2008 launched a graduate programme with the appointment of its first two trainees.

The firm has seen a 93% increase in product subscriptions, largely for its flagship product Sharp Legal Brands, in the year to date (Dec 07 to Aug 08); bespoke work is also up 48% year-on-year, with major account wins.

CEO Lisa Hart, who won the Emerging Talent of the Year award at the Entrepreneurs' Forum in May this year, says the firm wants to ensure growth continues through the expansion of its international product portfolio and a focus on key accounts. She adds: 'We recognise that marketing departments in our core target markets of professional and financial services are facing significant budget cuts, however the research elements seem to be staying intact. If anything, the fear amongst management teams is driving a hunger for more intelligence to help them steer through the tough times.'
