Communications Leader for infoGROUP

Database giant and ORC-owner infoGROUP has appointed Lisa Olson as its Senior VP of Corporate Relations, responsible for investor relations, PR, internal communications, government and community relations.

Olson takes the full-time position having worked with the firm's Board of Directors' Special Litigation Committee for the past few months. She will report directly to new CEO Bill Fairfield, who comments: 'Lisa has over 20 years of experience in the areas we are asking her to be responsible for and we are very pleased to welcome her to the infoGROUP team. She has a proven track record in large industries and will help ensure the key audiences are communicated to regarding infoGROUP's business.'

Olson worked for Union Pacific Railroad before joining First Data Corporation, a global provider ot technology services for card issuers, in 1995. Here she served in several leadership positions before leaving to manage a consulting firm.

In July, the firm's founder Vin Gupta was sacked as Chairman following an investigation which found he had misspent millions of dollars for use of a jet plane, a yacht, two appartments and personal flights for Bill and Hillary Clinton.
