IMRB Scoops Award Hat Trick

IMRB International has been named 'MR Agency of the Year' by the Market Research Society of India (MRSI) for the third time since the award was introduced in 2005.

IMRB's Thomas Puliyel receiving the award from MRSI Treasurer and Research International SVP Jaya RajaretnamA panel of senior marketing and research professionals short-listed the 15 best case studies from the 80+ entries submitted by researchers and marketing professionals. These were showcased at the society's annual two day conference held in Mumbai in September, and IMRB bagged four of the five awards given, in addition to the overall title.

Commenting on the award, IMRB President Thomas Puliyel said: 'We are elated at receiving this award for the third time in a row. It is very special to us as there is no award greater than the recognition of our peers.'

In the innovative research section, the best paper award was won by IMRB's Ashish Karnad and Magesh Poondi, along with Tushar Dhingra of cinema chain Adlabs.

The MR Works! award was given to IMRB's Jaydeep Guha, while the second prize in this section was won by his colleagues Ashutosh Sinha and Neetika Agarwal who co-authored the paper along with a team from telecoms firm Airtel.

Third prize in the MR Works! Section also went to an IMRB team, this one comprising Sukhdev Singh and Ajay Singh.
