Critical Mention Debuts Online Tracker

October 21 2008

US broadcast intelligence solutions firm Critical Mention has launched a service for tracking brand reputation and perception through video, text and images across the Internet.

The new CriticalWeb service enables users to monitor campaigns, initiatives, competitors and crisis issues across thousands of global multimedia sites. It is already aggregating more than 30,000 video, text and image files a day, and alerting clients when key issues or keywords are mentioned.

The system aggregates content from what the firm describes as 'the world's most influential web sites', querying sites as often as every five minutes and alerting clients to their inclusion in postings within 15 minutes of the content being posted.

'Speed and influence are the critical components of reputation management, and our clients demand to know how their brands are being perceived across the web now, not later,' explained CEO Sean Morgan. 'CriticalWeb empowers companies to take the temperature of their brand on the web and respond within minutes.'

New York-headquartered Critical Mention is part of Critical Media, a company which provides real-time broadcast media capture, search, syndication and information services.
