Launch of Speed-Trap On Demand

November 5 2008

Applications provider IS Solutions is to offer clients Software as a Service (SaaS) access to real-time data on customers and prospects from analysis of their current and historic online behaviour. The solution is based on Web 2.0 technology provided by partner firm Speed-Trap.

The new Speed-Trap On Demand service examines interaction with a web site to analyse usability, conversion and optimisation. It enables the user's exact journey to be tracked through every keyboard stroke, mouse movement and click.

IS Solutions says that the system helps clients improve the architecture of their web site or microsite by understanding how users actually navigate through their online sessions. The service also makes it possible to improve conversions of users by studying where most leave the conversion funnel and why.

'Speed-Trap moves web site analysis from basic page collection to customer insight,' states Speed-Trap's VP of Marketing and Operations Malcolm Duckett. 'The On Demand option allows ebusinesses to benefit from the technology for a temporary period in order to better appreciate their site's activity to enable accurate and appropriate amendments from either a usability or marketing point of view.'

Software giant SAS recently used the technology to launch a tool which captures real-time data about customer web behaviour and integrates it with data from other channels such as call-center information or point-of-purchase history.
