Facebook Analytics Firm Snapped Up

November 10 2008

Social ad network Adknowledge has made two acquisitions, including Adonomics, a provider of Facebook analytics and developer services.

Adonomics offers monetization and measurement tools for Facebook applications to the developer community, investors and the media, based on information it captures on installations and user activity. The firm also publishes a chart of application activity across time, The Adonomics 100™; and offers insights on trends in the sector.

Adknowledge has also acquired the advertising business of Lookery, increasing the total ads displayed through its social ad network, Cubics.com, to more than 10 billion monthly. The firm says this amounts to more than 40% of all ads served on Facebook applications.

The acquisitions extend the position of Adknowledge as the largest social advertising network, and will help it to broaden its base of services.

According to Brett Brewer, President of Adknowledge and a co-founder of Intermix/MySpace, the firm intends to 'aggressively grow this channel going forward'. Dwayne Lafleur, the company's General Manager of Social Advertising, says Adonomics is 'the benchmark for Facebook application ranking' and 'the only reliable source of data within the field', and stresses that his firm will contiune to provide its data 'in the same spirit as in the past' in addition to developing additional tools and information for the publisher community by integrating the new buy with Cubics.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed. Web sites are at www.adknowledge.com , www.adonomics.com and www.lookery.com .
