Digital Edge Unveils Mobile Research Tool

November 13 2008

In Australia, online research solutions provider The Digital Edge has launched mobile phone technology which will enable surveys to be conducted with consumers who have access to the mobile Internet.

The firm says its new Digital Edge Mobile Surveys product will allow marketers to reach consumers out of the home and office, and will enable specific brands to target consumers in relevant environments. MD Andrew Povolny comments: 'These surveys will be a boon for reaching those people who ignore online surveys or simply don't have the time to answer them while at home or in the office. So now they can do them on the train, bus or while waiting in an airport'.

The Digital Edge, which is owned by the Australian marketing services group Photon, provides a range of services across online surveys, panel and community management and specialised Web 2.0 market research. Based in Sydney, Australia the firm is online at www.thedigitaledge.com.au .

Last year, Photon acquired the UK-based brand experience agency Sledge for $AUD 9.2m, or £3.95m.
