Lightspeed Names CEO for North America

Panel provider Lightspeed Research has promoted Christopher Urinyi to the post of CEO of its North American company, based in Princeton, NJ and reporting to President and Group CEO Anne Hedde.

Urinyi joined Lightspeed in 2001 as Director of Strategy, and was then promoted to VP of Finance. In his most recent role as Group CFO, he was responsible for overseeing global accounting processes and ensuring financial policies supported the company's corporate strategy.

Prior to joining, Urinyi held business development and financial analysis roles at Honeywell International, and served eight years in the US Navy's Submarine Force.

'Chris has an extensive knowledge of our business and has been a key contributor to Lightspeed Research's growth and success,' said Hedde. 'In his new role, he will add significant value to our business.'

Lightspeed Research is part of the Kantar Group, within WPP. CEO for Europe David Day recently outlined its plans and strategies for growth in the region.
