European Launch for OOH Association

Madison Avenue-based trade organisation the Out-of-Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB) is to expand into Europe. Founded last year, OVAB represents out-of-home video networks and the advertising community, promoting standards and research.

The OVAB European chapter aims to provide uniform industry standards while strengthening the European centric dialogue between manufacturers, service providers and the advertising industry. Its Board consists of Dirk Hülsermann (Chairman or President), Ronni Guggenheim (Vice Chairman) and Richard Malley (Treasurer) and its founding members are:

  • Invidis Consulting
  • ECE Flatmedia
  • IBM Deutschland
  • PHILIPS
  • NEC Display Solutions and
  • Minicom Advanced Systems Ltd.
'The establishment of OVAB Europe marks another important milestone in our association's early development and the benefits that OVAB has already brought to the US based membership will extend seamlessly into the European market' says President Suzanne Alecia.

The body, which seeks to foster ongoing collaboration between agencies and out-of-home video advertising networks; provide standards, best practices and industry-wide research; and promote the effectiveness of out-of-home video advertising, is online at www.ovab.org .
