Panel to Provide Indian Internet Stats

December 4 2008

Digital advertising and technology firm Komli Media has launched an online audience measurement platform that can be used to look up audience and traffic statistics for any Internet site accessed from India.

The new ViziSense tool provides tracking technology which allows advertisers, media agencies and publishers free access to traffic data, and demographics such as age, gender, income, education, Internet use and marital status.

It also provides reports on audiences and insights on portals, along with research, analysis, trends and behavior data - gathered through Komli's panel of more than 10,000 members, and from publishers' and census data.

Panel members download the ViziSense program on to their computers, which then monitors their activities and accumulates stats relating to time spent on sites, their surfing behavior, and their demographics.

'As it is a free online audience measurement tool available in India, we expect that it will be highly used by the Internet industry,' stated Business Head Akshay Garg. 'Like TAM or RAM, we hope that ViziSense will be accepted as the audience measurement standard of the Internet industry.'

Plans are underway to increase the size of the panel to up to 100,000 panel members, which the firm says would be an ideal size to represent a section of the Indian Internet community.

Mumbai-based Komli was founded in October 2006, and now has offices in Pune, Delhi and New York, US. Web site: www.komli.com .
