Research and Marketing Plus Names New CEO

Sheila Jones has handed over the reins at Cardiff-based market research agency Research and Marketing Plus, after leading the company for twenty years. New arrival Phil Evans takes on the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Jones, whose late husband Trefor founded the business in 1968, will now become company Chairman, and says Evans has 'all the credentials' to lead the business into the next stage of its development.

Evans is a Chartered Management Accountant with twenty years' experience in the media and marketing sectors. Prior to joining, he was Commercial Director at Greenfield, a marketing and communications business which he co-founded in 2005. Before this, he was Finance Director at S4C International with financial responsibility for five companies within the commercial group. In addition, during his career, he has held Board level responsibility for advertising and sponsorship sales, international co-production deals and rights management.

Describing his new responsibilities, Evans said: 'A key aspect of my role will be to shape the future strategy for the business and develop new services so that it can continue to meet the needs of its clients.'

Last year, John Poole joined as Research Director.
