Medimix Opens in Hong Kong

January 26 2009

Healthcare market research specialist Medimix International has opened a new regional office in Hong Kong, which will be known as Medimix Asia. Managing Partner Bruno Leraillez will head the new unit.

The firm has been conducting surveys in Asia for almost a decade through its online platform, face-to-face, or in-depth phone interviews. Hong Kong was chosen to serve both the Asian headquarters of life science companies and their Chinese subsidiaries. The Hong Kong office will serve as a regional base, with satellite offices and staff in Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore.

'Over the last two years, the amount of business that we have conducted in the area has increased almost three-fold,' explained CEO Henry Gazay. 'Opening a regional office in Asia was a natural step forward, and we are very excited about this opportunity.'

Leraillez has lived and worked in the Far East for 30 years (Japan for 10 years, Hong Kong for 20 years). Most recently he formed and served as MD of the pharma network Innoledge International, which conducted market surveys, prepared registration dossiers, and served as an interface between manufacturers and health authorities. Prior to this, he wroekd at healthcare product manufacturer Roussel Uclaf Laboratories in China.

His areas of expertise include marketing research, pre-marketing, regulatory and M&A activities, and he is a graduate of Alfort School of Veterinary Medicine and specialized in Immunology at Paris Medical University.

Medimix's proprietary panel provides direct access to more than 500,000 physicians and healthcare professionals from around the world.
