Fujitsu to Launch Retail Analytics Service

February 11 2009

In the UK, Fujitsu Services is planning to launch a business analytics solution to help retailers turn business data into actionable reporting and analysis.

Offering a multi-channel analytics capability to measure and manage customer experience across web, store, call centre and catalogue, the new 'Business Analytics for Retail' service will merge data from across the business. 'Every day retailers are making thousands of planning, ranging, pricing, inventory, logistics and staff scheduling decisions,' commented Richard Clarke, Practice Lead for Retail Consulting. 'We have developed Business Analytics for Retail in response to retailer demand for a more cost-effective solution which can systematically capture, analyse and action data to improve performance.'

Fujitsu has signed agreements with partners Site Intelligence, Microsoft SharePoint, MicroStrategy and Netezza to provide the infrastructure required to offer the end-to-end multi-channel business intelligence.

With an annual turnover of £2.56bn (EUR 3.22bn), London-headquartered Fujitsu Services employs more than 21,000 people across 20 countries.
