Nielsen Names AsiaPac Head for Media Index

Nielsen has appointed Duncan Falzon as Executive Director of Nielsen Media Thailand and Media Index, Asia Pacific.

Duncan FalzonThe Media Index is a single-source multi-media survey that provides insights into media habits, lifestyles, attitudes and product consumption of consumers across cities in Asia Pacific.

Falzon joins with nine years' strategic planning, project management, relationship management, and business development management experience, including eight years in China.

Most recently, he was Associate Director and Chief Representative, Asia Pacific at the KMR Group (part of WPP's Kantar insight division), where he was primarily responsible for expanding the firm's media and product consumption measurement service, Target Group Index (TGI), through partnerships in China, Japan, South Korea and South East Asia.

In his new role, he will lead and manage Nielsen's media business in Thailand in addition to taking a strategic leadership role for Nielsen's Media Index service across Asia Pacific. He will be based in Bangkok, where he will report to Richard Basil-Jones, MD, Media, Asia Pacific.
