trueAnthem Unveils Viral Campaign Analytics Tool

April 7 2009

US viral marketing firm trueAnthem has launched a proprietary analytics tool to help marketers track the performance of their viral campaigns across social networking sites.

The new Viral Brand Genome tool uses the firm's trueWidget solution, which can be embedded on social networks and allows users to play and download songs. If the widget is embedded on, for instance, a Facebook page, the tool allows advertisers to gather details on which cities and regions are using the player most, or which users were instrumental in spreading it.

This information can be used to quantify the effectiveness of an ad campaign, and determine its success at a regional level.

'We developed the Viral Brand Genome to disrupt the traditional metrics and campaign reporting model, and deliver real insights into consumer behavior and interests related to brands,' explained CEO Brad Barnes. 'With this new analytic tool, we now can deliver even deeper metrics for marketers to make campaign decisions for their brands.'

Based in San Francisco, California, the firm is on the web at www.trueanthem.com .
