Ando Rolls Out Internet Radio Webcast Metrics

April 9 2009

In New York, radio and TV audience measurement firm Ando Media is rolling out its Webcast Metrics online listener statistics service across the online radio community.

For the past two years, media sales firm Katz Online Network has helped Ando develop the metrics. Ando says the roll out will enable the entire Internet radio industry to move towards a standard methodology, on both the sales and buying side, to measure digital audiences.

'While digital audio is growing at a rapid pace, the establishment of an industry standard measurement platform is a critical step for the continuing evolution of Internet radio,' stated Jordan Mendell, Ando Media's Founder and Chief Technology Officer. 'We are thankful to Katz for its enormous help in deploying Webcast Metrics to the agency community and are excited for others to participate in our service.'

Founded in 2004, Ando Media provides software and services to the radio and TV industry to help stations monetize their audience. In addition to Webcast Metrics, the firm has developed Ad Injector to provide detailed impression data on ad campaigns, and PodFuse which provides targeted dynamic ad insertion and measurement into both audio and video podcast content.

Brian Benedik, President of Katz 360 Sales, the digital sales unit of Katz Media Group, said that the roll out of Webcast Metrics to the entire Internet audio universe will enable the ad-supported digital audio industry 'to grow exponentially'.

In February, Ando Media appointed Patrick Reynolds as SVP responsible for brand and ad agency client relationships.
