Bango to Provide Real-Time Mobile Analytics

April 23 2009

In the US, mobile analytics firm Bango has updated its service to enable mobile site owners to track unique visitors in real time; whether a mobile user connects via operator gateway, WiFi or home broadband.

Bango Analytics is a hosted service that provides analysis of mobile visitors, mobile site activity and marketing campaigns, with detailed metrics including unique visitor counts and data on the country, network and handset of each user. The firm says the new v4 provides the same degree of accuracy regardless of connection - whether users are accessing from home or in the office.

The system now offers a greater level of granularity by letting marketers see metrics by the hour, which enables them to understand how a mobile marketing campaign is performing in real time and make necessary adjustments. It also offers new, advanced filtering and sorting to enable precise segmentation of mobile data. Bango says live data provides greater accuracy, rather than pre-cashed reports which dispose of the original raw data.

'Businesses have benefited from choosing products like Omniture and Coremetrics to get accurate, in-depth data of their web site traffic', said Bango CEO Ray Anderson. 'The same thing is happening in the mobile world with Bango delivering the quality and depth of analytics needed by mobile brands as they make critical business decisions on their mobile strategy.'

Founded in 1999, Bango profiles millions of users browsing the mobile web across hundreds of networks worldwide. With offices in the US, UK, Spain and Germany, the firm is online at www.bango.com .
