FreshMinds Reports Most Profitable Quarter

In the UK, FreshMinds Research has announced the most profitable quarter in its nine year history. For Q1 2009, revenues increased 24% to £1.08m from the same period last year, and were up 51% on those recorded in Q4 2008. EBIT increased ninefold compared with Q1 2008.

Alistair LeathwoodRepeat business was strong with 86% of revenue coming from existing customers. In addition, the firm added to its client list with new customer wins from several leading education providers and high-street retailers.

Data from the company's most recent customer satisfaction survey has also been positive with more than four in five respondents citing that the firm had a positive impact on their business, and 80% saying they perceive FreshMinds Research as being an important contributor to their ongoing business.

Commenting on the results, MD Alistair Leathwood said: 'We have had a really terrific quarter all round and we are naturally delighted with these results. In addition to the numbers which set a new standard for us, we are celebrating a number of other achievements such as improved scores in our bi-annual customer satisfaction survey. In this market, customer loyalty is even more important than ever and we are delighted that are customers recognise the value that our research represents and are happy to recommend us to others.'

To support this growth, the firm recruited an additional seven members of staff during the quarter, and also established a Research Expertise and Development Team to offer clients new and innovative ways of delivering research.

London-based FreshMinds Research was named 'Best Agency' at the MRS Research Excellence and Efficiency Awards for two years running in 2006 and 2007.
