Website Analysis Project for Netusability

January 23 2002

Netusability has been appointed by iVillage UK, the UK's leading women's website, to undertake a usability testing project to analyse customer opinion of its newly-redesigned website.

iVillage's Marketing Director, Selia Bellanca says, 'We value our customers' feedback enormously and want to ensure that iVillage UK is offering them the best information and service possible, especially since we have recently changed our website design. The project we are undertaking with Netusability will help us determine if we can improve upon usability, functionality, or design in order to enhance our customers' online experience.'

Netusability Global Services consultancy group will recruit test participants, fitting the typical iVillage UK customer demographic profile, and set them a number of tasks to complete on the site. These include typical tasks that a visitor may wish to carry out - such as checking their horoscope, searching for dietary advice and so on. Test participants will be recorded as they carry out these tasks, using Netu Analyst usability testing software - that captures the entire browser experience, including video and audio - and allows problem areas to be quickly identified so that measures for improvement can be put into place rapidly.

Netusability will then provide reports highlighting particular problems that have arisen since the redesign and make recommendations for website changes.
