ORC Hires New Trade and Retail Manager

ORC International has announced the recruitment of Nick Mawditt as the company's new trade and retail manager. Moving from research director at Initiative Media, Mawditt will be based in ORC's London offices.

Mawditt brings with him a 13-year background in the research industry, including both clientside and agency positions. His most recent work at Initiative Media has included the development of a strategic communication tool used by big-billing clients Unilever, Vauxhall and Calvin Klein. He was also responsible for establishing the European research arm of the company.

Prior to this, Mawditt had a spell as an account director at Taylor Nelson Sofres. In this capacity, he was responsible for the quantitative research of several of the agency's FMCG and media clients

ORC International's managing director, Nigel Maxfield, is reported as being delighted by the move. 'Nick's breadth of experience - covering media, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and consultancy - was just the mix of skills we were seeking to drive our trade and retail division forward. His proven track record of forging relations with clients and delivering consumer insight and understanding will add greatly to our already acknowledged expertise in this marketplace.'
