ESOMAR CRM Conference

March 4 2002

The first ESOMAR Conference on Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) is scheduled for 17 to 19 March in Prague. The event aims to provide a unique platform to review the current state of the market research industry in relation to the opportunities offered by CRM.

'With an annual growth rate of over 30%, analysts estimate that CRM will surpass the global revenue of the entire MR industry within the next five years. According to IDC, CRM reached over $12.1 billion in 2001', said Laurent Flores, Programme Committee member of the ESOMAR CRM Conference.

Operational CRM- managing the interaction with the customers and analytical CRM- using tools and software techniques to gain a deep understanding of the customers, will be the focus of the conference. Understanding both streams, their integration, the impact on the organisational profitability and the key role of MR in this changing process are key elements that will be analysed.

A top notch array of multinational speakers from Europe, North America and Asia will discuss the realities of CRM. These include representatives from Procter & Gamble, Reuters Consulting Group, SPSS, ACNielsen, McKinsey & Company, Verizon Wireless, Eli Lilly & Co., Vodafone, Barclays Bank Plc and eBay.
