Survey Sampling Supplier Award

US agency Survey Sampling Inc. (SSI), sample consultant and product provider, has been named Supplier of the Year by the Gallup Organization. The award is presented for the highest levels of marketing research consultation and service. Recipients are rated on accuracy, responsiveness, credibility, partnering, trust, and discovery.

According to Jessica Smith who manages the Gallup account, the successful partnering with Gallup is partly due to consistent improvements in the firm's computer resources and screening services. Understanding the nuances of telephony and updating the company's databases to ensure proper frame representation, and proactively sharing information with Gallup has been fundamental. "In addition to our consumer telephone and mail samples, we currently offer three on-line sample methodologies. We work with a client partner to understand their research objective and offer the sample options that will best meet their goal'.

SSI has daily telephone contact with Gallup, and performs quarterly visits to different offices and staff within the organization. Survey Sampling provides Gallup with personnel who are educated and trained across functions and areas of responsibility 'so knowledge resides within the organization, documentation, and skill set of several individuals,' says Smith. 'Our goal is to have knowledge and expertise transcend the individual. We have continuous in-depth training sessions on current and new products as well as service skill related sessions.'

Survey Sampling has been presented with the award this week, at Gallup headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. SSI serves over 1,200 clients worldwide who conduct surveys using the Internet, telephone, and postal mail.
