New Top Level Appointment at ORC

Opinion Research Corporation has announced that John S. Watts, Ph.D., has joined the firm as Global Managing Director, Decision Sciences. In this new position, Dr. Watts will provide leadership in developing strategic and tactical applications of the company's modeling, predictive behaviour and forecasting capabilities, in particular, focusing on market segmentation and sizing, competitive analysis, product/services configuration, demand forecasting and pricing analysis.

James C. Fink, Ph.D., CEO of Worldwide Marketing Research, said, 'John is an accomplished and highly regarded authority on model-based research. His background provides deep experience in both the 'science' and practical application of strategic, economic, financial and quantitative techniques to senior management issues. Dr. Watts brings an impressive set of credentials to Opinion Research Corporation, including more than 16 years of strategic consulting and teaching in the world's top business schools. Most recently, he was Senior Manager in the Strategy and Business Architecture service line at Accenture, where he served C-level executives and international organizations in a broad array of strategic consulting engagements. Earlier, he held senior positions at Ernst & Young Management Consulting where he was a core member of the firm's Strategic Advisory Services practice, its Technology, Communications and Entertainment practice and was on its Customer Value Management team.

In addition to his consulting career, Dr. Watts has served on the faculties of Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
