SSI Offers European Life Style Samples

December 19 2002

Survey Sampling, Inc. (SSI) and Sample Answers, are joining forces in an agreement under which Survey Sampling has been selected as the licensed representative of SampleHome in the North American market.

SampleHome, a consumer life style database for Europe, is based upon Claritas Europe's consumer databases and has been designed with the needs of the researcher in mind. 'The availability of SampleHome for targeted telephone and mail samples allows North America-based survey research firms to improve their ability to manage multi-country surveys in a more timely and more cost efficient manner,' according to Terry Coen, vice president, sales and marketing,at Survey Sampling. 'SSI was chosen because of the breadth of our relationships with U.S. and Canadian survey research organizations.'

Tony Dent, chairman of Sample Answers, has been acquainted with SSI for five years. 'Survey Sampling is the largest and best sampling agency in North America. We chose SSI not only for its size and strength, but also for its reputation.' That, he adds, is important because of both EU rules and U.S. Safe Harbor regulations surrounding individual data. 'Data protection is very important. The people at SSI operate their business to the highest ethical standards.'

SampleHome currently covers France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and the UK, with plans to extend coverage to Poland, Portugal, and Sweden. Among its many features are counts by phone and fast turnaround on most orders; improved targeting and a choice of selection variables; cost efficiency; and samples in the format required.
