New Management Executive at ORC

January 29 2003

ORC International has just appointed Sarah Michell - head of operations - and Kate Pritchard - divisional manager, employee research - to its management executive, which is a new body responsible for the day-to-day running of ORC Internationals' business in the UK. They join the company's four UK board directors: Richard Cornelius, Rory MacNeill, Nigel Maxfield and Trevor Robinson.

Michell has been with the company for four years, and is currently responsible for all the operational processes of the service divisions of the company, encompassing the telephone centre, field operations, data services and data processing.

Pritchard has been with the company for nearly six years, and has responsibility for managing the employee research division; including people management, strategy, objectives and financial performance.

Commenting on the appointments, managing director Nigel Maxfield said: 'It is one of our strategic HR goals to fill senior positions from within the company. Kate has played a central role in building our employee research capabilities into one of the strongest in the UK, from a start up position a few years ago. And Sarah has been instrumental in driving the company's growth over the last four years, by ensuring that the operations divisions are smooth running, service orientated and profitable. We believe that Kate's and Sarah's input will help us continue with our on-going programme of growth and success which we have experienced since the company's formation in 1998.'

ORC International's UK board of directors will now only meet on a few occasions each year, to concentrate on longer term issues such as approval of business plans, budgets, and other key strategic items.
