NOP E-business Partnership

March 12 2003

Businesses in the UK seeking a better understanding of the opportunities and pitfalls of the online world have been given access to a new platform for advice and knowledge sharing, thanks to a new partnership between NOP and e-consultancy.

NOP has been helping businesses to build the right e-business strategy for over 8 years as a result of its extensive research and analysis in this area. Under the terms of the recent agreement NOP has been invited to host and inject this insight into e-consultancy's highly popular round table discussion forums in 2003.

Regularly attended by organisations such as BT, Argos, Orange, Channel 4 and HSBC, the roundtables are designed as a platform for addressing complex e-business challenges and networking. As the online world gains momentum, seen for example in recent consumer online shopping take-up, e-consultancy expects to see an increasing demand for up to the minute information and advice as organisations' business operating environments continue to change. The company believes that NOP's regular research into how businesses and consumers are approaching the online world will bring a new edge to the roundtables and ensure attendees have access to the best possible e-business thinking.

Ashley Friedlein, CEO at e-consultancy explains: 'In our drive to become the UK's leading source of e-business information and advice, we need to ensure that our members have access to the very latest market trends and analysis to give them better certainty and direction. NOP's ongoing research in the e-business field coupled with its network of contacts brings a new edge to our roundtables and presents a very compelling proposition for attendees.'

36 roundtables are scheduled for 2003 and will include sector-based discussions around current issues in the retail, financial services, telecoms and automotive markets, through to e-disciplines such as content management, usability, eCRM and web analysis.

The events, which will be hosted by NOP and e-consultancy at NOP's offices, are typically attended by a sector expert and representatives from 12 organisations.

Tim Wragg, Group Development Director at NOP added 'e-consultancy's roundtables have a reputation for attracting guests of the highest calibre. As a group that is committed to helping organisations to ask the right questions and equipping them with the knowledge that will help them to make the right business decisions, this agreement provides us with an ideal opportunity to connect our ideas with other leading figures in the e-business field.'
