In the US, qual and quant research agency Market Strategies International has appointed former Walmart director Larry Walker as Chief People Officer, responsible for all aspects of human resources including strategy, recruitment, retention, and learning and development.

Walker joins from Walmart, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Strategy, Execution and Planning for Sam’s Club, and before this held various roles including Director of HR Strategy for Wal-Mart Stores US and Director of Learning and Development for Wal-Mart Stores US, Southeast Division.

Prior to Walmart, he held positions at Compassion International, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Defense Educational Activity.

In his new role, Walker reports to Market Strategies International CEO Rob Stone.
