GfK has appointed IDC veteran Selinna Chin as General Manager of its operations in Malaysia, responsible for the day-to-day running of the office and leading the local team.

Chin (pictured) joins with a twenty-year background in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. For the past eighteen years, she worked at technology analyst IDC, latterly as VP for Emerging ASEAN Markets, and built the firm’s call center to a 35-seat CATI unit to support research across Asia Pacific.

In her new position, Chin will report to Stanley Kee, MD for Southeast Asia, who comments: ‘Selinna has an impressive track record in the market research arena and boasts many accomplishments under her belt. Her extensive background and experience in the ICT industry coupled with her deep understanding of the trade make her the ideal candidate to take charge of GfK’s business in Malaysia.’
