Carol FinlaysonIn the UK, full service agency Relish Research has appointed Nestlé’s former consumer research leader Carol Finlayson as Qualitative Research Manager at its Relish North operation in Leeds.

London-headquartered Relish – previously known as Drummond Madell – conducts both qual and quant research in areas such as brand and advertising tracking, brand positioning, new product development and advertising and communications development.

Finlayson (pictured) joins from Nestlé Confectionery in York, where as Brand Insight Manager, she was responsible for planning and co-ordinating ad-hoc research for the chocolate and biscuit category, using consumer insight to inform brand positioning and innovation. Prior to this, she was involved in regional and national consumer surveys while working as Research Manager at destination marketing agency Welcome to Yorkshire.

She began her career as a User Experience Consultant at Simple Usability in Leeds, conducting web site user experience testing combining consumer feedback with observational analysis and eye-tracking data.
