Emmanuelle MoeglinIn the UK, consumer intelligence specialist Mintel has appointed Emmanuelle Moeglin as Global Fragrance Analyst in its Beauty and Personal Care division.

Launched in 1972, Mintel focuses on consumer trends, product innovation and competitive marketing strategies. The company has operations in London, Chicago, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Mumbai, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur.

Moeglin (pictured) joins from flavour and fragrance manufacturer Symrise, where she latterly worked in New York as an Evaluator of Fine Fragrance. Prior to this, she worked for Japanese flavour and fragrance firm Takasago on its home care and fabric care categories, and for perfume developer Antonio Puig in Barcelona. Moeglin began her career with L’Oreal as a Fragrance Development Manager.

In her new role, she will work on the development of Mintel’s coverage of the global fragrance market, to provide insight and analysis on specific industry issues and broader macro trends.

Vivienne Rudd, Director of Insight, Beauty and Personal Care at Mintel, said: ‘Emmanuelle’s depth of knowledge about the creative, technical and commercial aspects of the fragrance industry will take our analysis of the beauty industry to an even higher level.’
