Rich SantiagoAd agency network BBDO has appointed Rich Santiago as Senior Vice President, Director of Behavioral Planning at its office in Atlanta.

BBDO Atlanta is part of BBDO Worldwide, which employs staff in 289 offices across 81 countries.

Santiago (pictured) joins from travel promotion firm Brand USA, where he served as Director of Global Insights and Innovation. He began his career as a Planner for Leo Burnett, before taking on roles at GSD&M Idea City, Arnold Worldwide and Mullen Unbound. He also ran his own consultancy The Artful Monkey.

In his new position, reporting to Gill Duff, President & CEO of BBDO Atlanta, Santiago will be responsible for heading up the agency’s planning group.

Duff comments: ‘Throughout his career, Rich has been single-mindedly focused on understanding consumers in order to create highly creative and effective marketing messages that resonate with target audiences and, most importantly, result in behavioral change.’
