Online data firm BlueKai has appointed Abe Taha as Vice President of Data Science and Engineering, where as the company’s first ever ‘data quant’, he will be responsible for developing the infrastructure that manages the flow of audience intelligence through the firm’s DAS system.
DAS (Data Activation System) integrates access to third party data with clients’ own databases to allow them to identify, analyze and re-target mobile site visitors and target new mobile audiences.
Taha (pictured) joins from big data intelligence specialist Karmasphere, where he worked for nearly three years as VP of Engineering. Prior to this, he held similar roles at Ask.com, Ning, Google, and Yahoo Search, and he served as a Senior Consultant at Internet consulting company Scient (now part of Publicis).
